Uniform Person Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 30, 2026
Last Updated: October 30, 2026

Uniform Person (“UP,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information when you visit www.uniform-person.com, purchase our products, contact us, or use our related services (the “Services”).

1. Information You Provide to Us

You may provide personal information when you shop, create an account, subscribe to updates, submit a review, or contact us. This may include:

  • Your name, email address, telephone number, and billing and delivery addresses.
  • Account details and preferences.
  • Products ordered, purchase history, and return or exchange details.
  • Information needed to process a payment through our payment providers.
  • Messages, reviews, photos, and other content you choose to send us.
  • Your marketing preferences and privacy choices.

2. Information We Collect Automatically

When you use our website, cookies and similar technologies may collect technical and activity information, including your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location, referring pages, pages and products viewed, cart and checkout activity, and purchase events.

We may also receive information from Shopify, payment and fulfillment providers, and advertising or analytics partners that support our Services. The information received depends on the service, your interactions, and your privacy settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

  • Accept payments and fulfill orders, deliveries, returns, and exchanges.
  • Maintain accounts, answer questions, and send service updates.
  • Improve our products, website, and customer experience.
  • Send marketing communications where permitted.
  • Measure campaigns and support relevant advertising, subject to applicable privacy choices.
  • Detect fraud, protect our business and customers, maintain records, and meet legal requirements.

Where a legal basis is required, we rely on the basis appropriate to the activity, such as fulfilling a contract, your consent, compliance with law, or legitimate interests in operating and protecting our business.

4. How We Share Your Information

Service providers

We disclose information to providers that help run our business, including Shopify, payment processors, shipping and returns providers, and customer support, email, review, and technology providers. Information is disclosed as needed for their services.

Advertising and analytics partners

We may disclose information to partners that help analyze website activity, measure advertising, and reach audiences, and to retail marketing partners as described below. Depending on the tools enabled, this may include online identifiers, browsing activity, purchase events, and contact identifiers used to match customers with accounts on advertising platforms, subject to your choices and applicable law.

We do not sell customer email lists or other customer lists in exchange for money. However, certain privacy laws define “sale” more broadly than a cash transaction and separately regulate “sharing” for advertising across different businesses’ websites or services. Disclosing information to advertising partners may fall within those definitions even when no money changes hands. Section 13 explains related privacy choices.

Retailers and marketplaces

If you buy UP products through a retailer or marketplace, its own privacy policy applies to information it collects. We may exchange information reasonably needed to fulfill or support that transaction, including delivery, customer service, returns, and transaction reconciliation.

Arete launch and product marketing

As part of our retail and marketplace collaboration with Arete Studios (Mode Laboratory, Co. D/B/A Arete Fashion Marketplace), we may provide Arete with only the email addresses of U.S.-based customers who have opted in to marketing communications, subject to applicable law and the notices and permissions applicable to those customers.

The purpose of this disclosure is to allow Arete to send one introductory email announcing Uniform Person’s availability on its platform and introducing the Uniform Person products available there. This is a one-time introduction and does not enroll recipients in recurring Arete marketing emails. We coordinate with Arete on the content, timing, and format of this introductory email.

Under our agreement, Arete must:

  • Use the provided list solely for these Uniform Person launch and product marketing purposes.
  • Treat the list as confidential information.
  • Not sell, transfer, or share the provided list with third parties.
  • Include a clear unsubscribe mechanism in every email sent to the provided list.
  • Delete or return the provided list upon our written request or termination of the agreement.

Arete may send this introductory email under its own branding, but may use the shared email addresses only for this one-time introduction to Uniform Person on Arete. This arrangement does not authorize Arete to add recipients to its ongoing general newsletter, promote other brands, or use the shared email addresses for unrelated Arete marketing. For this marketing collaboration, UP shares email addresses only. We do not share customer names, telephone numbers, mailing addresses, order histories, or other customer profile information with Arete for this purpose.

You may unsubscribe using the link in an Arete email sent as part of this UP-focused collaboration. You may also email hello@uniform-person.com to request that UP stop future disclosures of your email address for this collaboration or help communicate a request concerning the list already provided. Unsubscribing from UP and unsubscribing from Arete may be separate actions. Necessary order or service communications may continue.

Where applicable law requires additional notice, a separate choice, or consent for this disclosure or use, we provide it or obtain it before proceeding. Updating this Privacy Policy does not itself supply consent or override the privacy commitments applicable when information was collected.

Other disclosures

We may disclose information to professional advisers or authorities when necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, resolve disputes, or protect rights and security. Information may also be disclosed in connection with a proposed or completed business transfer, subject to applicable law and appropriate protections.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information for business analysis and reporting, with safeguards appropriate to its use.

5. Email Marketing

We may send UP news, product updates, and offers where permitted by your preferences and applicable law. You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email.

We may still send necessary order, account, and customer service messages after you unsubscribe from marketing.

The limited Arete email marketing collaboration is described in Section 4. Arete must include a clear unsubscribe mechanism in its emails to the provided list. Unsubscribing from UP and unsubscribing from Arete may be separate choices; contact us if you need help making a request concerning information we disclosed.

6. Cookies and Online Tracking

We may use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies for:

  • Essential functions: checkout, security, and operating the website.
  • Preferences: remembering settings and improving usability.
  • Analytics: understanding visits and website performance.
  • Advertising: measuring campaigns and supporting relevant ads.

You can manage cookies through your browser and any cookie or privacy controls available on our website. Blocking cookies may affect some features. Browser settings may not control all server-based disclosures or advertising tools.

Where required, nonessential technologies are subject to consent or opt-out requirements. See Section 13 for requests concerning sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, including browser-based opt-out signals.

Our relationship with Shopify

Shopify hosts our online store and processes information to operate and support it. Depending on the features enabled, Shopify may also process information for its own purposes, including certain services that use interactions across merchants. Shopify’s role and your choices depend on the feature and applicable law. Learn more in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and Shopify Privacy Portal. Rights concerning Shopify’s independent processing can be exercised through Shopify; you can contact UP about processing for our store.

7. Payment Processing

Shopify and the payment provider you select process payment details. UP may receive transaction status, billing information, and limited payment details needed to identify a purchase. We do not receive your full card number when your payment provider processes the transaction. Payment providers also handle information according to their own privacy policies.

8. Third-Party Websites

Links to other websites and services may appear on our website. Those businesses control their own information practices. Review their privacy policies before providing personal information.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No website, transmission method, or storage system can guarantee complete security.

10. Children’s Privacy

Our Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

11. International Customers

UP and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries whose privacy laws differ from those where you live. Where required, international transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards.

Depending on applicable law, customers in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of processing, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may also complain to the relevant data protection authority.

Where required for transfers from the EEA or UK, we rely on an applicable adequacy decision or recognized safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and relevant UK transfer terms.

Contact us using Section 15 to exercise a right or ask about transfer safeguards. UP is the controller of personal information for the processing purposes it determines; partners may be separate controllers for their own activities.

12. Retention and Your Choices

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, taking account of order fulfillment, customer support, recordkeeping, legal obligations, security, and dispute resolution. The period varies by information type and purpose.

You may update account information, unsubscribe from marketing, adjust available privacy settings, or submit a privacy request. Deletion requests remain subject to lawful retention requirements and other applicable exceptions.

13. California and Other U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and whether the applicable law covers our business, you may have rights to:

  • Obtain access to personal information and information about its processing.
  • Request correction or deletion, or receive a portable copy.
  • Opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising.
  • Limit certain uses of sensitive information, where applicable.
  • Appeal certain request decisions and use an authorized agent where permitted.
  • Exercise rights without unlawful discrimination.

As explained in Section 4, UP does not sell customer lists for money. Advertising-related disclosures may nevertheless qualify as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under applicable law. Information involved may include contact and online identifiers, website activity, purchase activity, and approximate location.

To submit a request, email hello@uniform-person.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. For advertising opt-outs, specify “Opt Out of Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising.” You may also use any applicable privacy controls available on our website. We may need information to verify access, correction, or deletion requests or an agent’s authority.

Where applicable law requires recognition of Global Privacy Control or another qualifying opt-out preference signal, those requirements apply to our processing. A browser signal generally relates to the browser or device sending it and may not identify every account or device you use.

Complaints and appeals

If you have a privacy concern, email us using Section 15. Where applicable law provides an appeal right, reply to our decision with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line and explain your concern. You may also contact the relevant privacy regulator or data protection authority, as permitted by applicable law.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may revise this policy as our business, technology, or legal obligations change. We will post revisions here and update the date above. We will provide additional notice or seek consent when required by law. A policy update does not, by itself, override earlier privacy promises or authorize a materially different use of information already collected.
